A while ago, my partner got an idea ow to make a computer station to have at the couch. We always sit in our livingroom in the evenings and his laptop screen was becoming too small for the games he wanted to play. So, here we are, 2 weeks later, and tadaaa, he has build a station. And he needed my help with fabric around the foot pillow ofc! Not the most pretty things I have ever done but it serves its purpose.
Haha nah kidding. He was at a friends house kind of the whole day so mommy got some work done. (pictures below) The colors are not correct though, I had no natural light to take the pictures in. Autumn and all that. Anyway, I hope a girl in Sweden will be happy and feel like a princess!
All patterns are from Puperita except the hat one!
We have found out that 2 of my sons teachers has tested positive for Covid19, I am a but worried. But nothing I can do about the situation than to keep my chin up. So, I started clearing off my scraps that I have saved for… better days hehe. I can’t really sew when I have my son home, because I can’t hear him up to the 3rd floor. So cutting scraps it is. Well, it needs to be done so.. hehe.
This week didn’t quite go as I had planned it to. Yesterday we got a message that my sons school is closed the whole week because of 3 teachers tested positive with Covid19. So, the plans I had went down the drain and instead I have to figure out other things that I can do downstairs. Like fabric Christmas trees. ????
Pattern for the tree is from patterns for pirates!
Yesterday was a very productive day! Even though my machines were messing a bit with me. Like breaking a needle and making the thread in to a birds nest. A hat for my friends son, bib for the shop, pants for my son and 2 Christmas trees! The green one is for my son, it didn’t come together nice enough for the shop hehe. The red one, I didn’t take a pic of yet since I haven’t filled it up. This is what I am using my scraps for. Filling up stuff like the Christmas trees. No fabric goes to waste like this! The pants is pattern from the lovely #puperita #junglepants
I made my mum some shirts for her birthday but I couldn’t show it here before giving it! Here they are! I have made the shirts and the print! I don’t sell the Olaf print, it is licensed.
Because of the lockdown, we are only allowed to have 3 visitors per day… PER DAY! So, with my sons birthday coming, we need to split the celebration in to multiple days. So today is the 1st of the week. It ends with a childrens party on Saturday with a jumping castle and face paint. Yesterday I baked, cleaned and baked a bit more. So all is done for the 3 people stopping by lol. Today I am going to sort my fabric stash so I know what I have and not have and IF there is time, I am going to make the order of 4 mouth caps for a friend in Sweden.
After soon a week in my homecountry, we are tomorrow going back to Netherlands. As usual when I have been away from my work, I have PLENTY of ideas what to make of what.
We have been celebrating my youngest brother (he turned 25 years), my son (turns 5 in a week) and my mum who turns 59 the 2nd November. Plenty of hugs and cakes!
And I refilled my sweet Tweety who had gotten old and colorless!
Since Facebook has decided I can’t have a shop on my Facebook page, I will just start using my blog more. I am really done with fb changing things and I have to redo everything all over again. But hey, that’s the good thing with also having your own webpage, it’s yours hehe.
Well, lately I have been creating a lot of mouth caps (we just went back in to semi lockdown), gifts for my sons friend who had birthdays. And washable cotton pads! Lets try and save the nature a bit at a time.
Here below are some of the things I have done lately.
Yeah, where to start. Pandemic, yes, still on lockdown, schools are at least open half time.
My dad passed away after a year of cancer. So suddenly I had to find a way to get to Sweden, even though it was a pandemic. But I had some papers allowing me and Chris to go. We lived at my mums spare room, I got to say the last goodbye to my dad at the funeral.
But, I have also been up to things while staying inside and grieving. Sewing is AWESOME medicine!
And ofc… Getting FURIOUS at people trying to make a lot of money on people who wants mouth caps. 20!!! Euros for a mouth cap they way. Hell no. 3.50 I took for the materials for my friends. Since I am a company, I can’t give them for free 🙁 But I made 16 of them as requested from friends and need to make another 6 tomorrow or so for another friend.
