Who am I?

I am a mother of (in writing moment) an almost 11 year old boy. I started sewing when he was about 8 months, when I discovered that the stores didn’t have any fun bibs. So. I started with those, and from there I advanced to clothes both for him and me. Also, my boy was too tall and skinny for any store-bought pants and long-sleeved shirt. With sewing it all for him, it made my life easier. Now he fits standard clothing sizes (size 16 years old but still, fits all directions). He prefers clothes that are easier to buy than to make yourself. Especially in the pace he is growing!

Today I sew for some in the neighborhood, friends and for markets. I mainly make orders, and I join markets as much as I can. Also, I want every piece to not exist in mass production, but a few items of the same fabric. The stuff for the shop, I make in the time between I make orders.

My hope, is that everyone should be able to afford handmade goods. I make the clothes while my son is at school, if I get orders, I ofc make them first. Above, you see some pictures of children who are using my handmade clothes. I find it important that the child can move around and also feel comfortable in the piece of clothing.

I try to find ways to keep my costs down. So that the little girl on the corner can have a dress that only she has. A couple of boys can have a pair of shorts that only him and his brother has. Make the world special for everyone. I also try and save whatever I can to make a better world for our children. I use all pieces of fabric. Leftovers that are big enough to make makeup pads or squares for blankets of, I save. Those pieces that are too small, I cut in small pieces to fill up stuffed animals/pillows and such. Let’s not waste our planet more than we already are.

I also make special ordered clothing. One woman that I have made a few for, is a woman in Sweden in a wheelchair. Everyone should get their fill of feeling pretty, no matter what!

Below here you can find some of the things I have created with my creativity as ground. It is everything from sewing, heat press vinyl and sublimation. I like a good challenge, and some of the stuff has been that!
